Three people were killed in a car-truck accident in Greene County on Sunday afternoon. The accident happened one mile west of Rippey on County Road E-57. Reportedly, an eastbound 2002 Pontiac Firebird was traveling at an apparent high rate of speed when it lost control, crossing the center line, striking the passenger side of a westbound 2011 Ford F-150 pickup truck.
The impact pushed both the car and truck into the north ditch where they rolled onto their sides. The names of the three people killed have not been released. The accident remains under investigation.
