Western Christian is riding a late season surge into the class 2A championsdhip game. The fifth ranked Wolfpack got 16 points and eight rebounds from Brooke Wolterstorff to post their 11 straight win, a 62-54 victory over top ranked and defending champion OA-BCIG.

The game was close the entire way and featured 14 lead changes and ten ties. It was a late 7-0 run by Western that was the difference as they broke away from a 50-all tie.

OA-BCIG saw its 52 game winning streak come to an end. The Falcons had not lost since they were beaten in the state championship game two years ago. Morgan VanderSlooot led the Falcons with 22 points.
