Authorities in southeast Iowa say a man was found dead in his home Wednesday after allegedly assaulting his wife. Henry County Sheriff’s deputies and Iowa State Patrol troopers were sent to a home in the town of Olds around 4:30 p.m. They found a woman in the home with multiple injuries. She told officers she had been assaulted by her husband.
The officers searched the home and found the husband dead on the kitchen floor. An autopsy is scheduled for today in Iowa City, while the woman was taken to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for treatment. Officials have not released the couple’s names or other details about the case.
