A report from a motorist in northwest Iowa has law officers looking for a child who may’ve been abducted. The motorist called the Cherokee County Law Enforcement Center around 8:29 this morning that they had spotted a white utility or cargo van with two white males in the front seat had turned north onto Highway 59 from Highway 3.

The person said they saw a child with their hands tied banging on the back window of the van. The Cherokee County Sheriff’s office and other law enforcement agencies are investigating the report and searching for the vehicle. There are also Iowa State Patrol aircraft involved in the search.

The Cherokee County Sheriff’s office says it does not currently have a missing child report.
