INS salutes Lauren Houska from East Sac County High School as this month’s Superior Student. Lauren is a member of National Honor Society, President of the Jackson County 4-H club, and secretary of the East Sac County FFA club. A ten year member of 4-H, she is active on the Sac County Council, Sac Count endowment committee, and the state 4-H council. Lauren is very active in community service projects.
In 2010, Lauren was award the Brownfield Network Ag achievement award. She has a 3.8 GPA and has participated in speech, band, and in sports during her high school career. Her future plans are to attend Iowa State University majoring in ag education and communication.
