A Davenport man is accused of setting some police department property on fire. It happened sometime after 11 Monday night.
Police say someone set fire to their speed trailer in northwest Davenport. The trailer, which is used to slow traffic and alert motorists to the speed of their vehicle, had been in operation at the location for a few days.
The speed trailer does not cause tickets to be issued. Following a joint police and fire department investigation, cops arrested 27-year-old Craig M. Petersen of Davenport. He’s charged with second-degree arson.
