A man wanted for a fatal shooting in Iowa City earlier this summer has been arrested in Illinois. Iowa City Police say 27-year-old Brandon Brown left the state after officers obtained a warrant for his arrest in the June 12 shooting death of 30-year-old Donelle Lindsey.
Brown was arrested on a suspicion of first-degree murder charge last night in South Holland, Illinois – a suburb of Chicago. Witnesses told Iowa City Police that Brown shot Lindsey multiple times at close range on the night of June 12 after the two got into an argument in a street outside a home on the city’s west side.
Brown was last seen running from the crime scene, according to police.
