Ryan Randles

A man is facing up to 25 years in prison for a bank robbery in eastern Iowa nearly two years ago. According to the U.S. Attorney’s office in Cedar Rapids, 38-year-old Ryan Randles entered a guilty plea this week to a federal bank robbery charge.

Randles admitted robbing a bank in Williamsburg and assaulting the bank’s vice-president with a pellet gun on October 20, 2010. Randles was previously convicted in district court for robbing a Best Western hotel in Williamsburg the day before the bank heist.

Randles was previously sentenced to 10 years in prison for the hotel robbery. A sentencing date for the bank robbery has not been set.
