A Cedar Rapids man has admitted to selling a prescription drug that led to the death of another person. Fifty-two-year-old Tim Bowen the Second reached a plea agreement with prosecutors where he admitted selling a bottle of prescription methadone he had been given for an injury to various individuals in 2010.

He admitted selling a bottle of the drug containing 60 pills to an individual in Hiawatha. The person who purchased the drug and another individual later died as a result of using several types of drugs, including the methadone.

Bowen will be sentenced at a later date, and if given the maximum sentence, could spend 30 years in prison.
