An Oxford Junction woman was given a four-month prison sentence after admitting she illegally got benefits from FEMA. Court records show 32-year-old Jessica Hines pled guilty to one count of disaster benefits fraud, admitting she lied to FEMA to get disaster benefits following the June 2008 floods in eastern Iowa.

Hines admitted that she had falsely claimed to live in a home in Oxford Junction at the time of the flood, and that the flooding damaged her personal property. Hines will have to serve the four-month sentence in federal prison, and then five years of supervised release.

She was also ordered to pay nearly $7,200 in restitution to FEMA.
