One man is in custody and another is still at large in a northeast Iowa manhunt that forced the lockdown of buildings in three school districts. The Winnesheik County Sheriff’s Department confirms that one man has been arrested in the search for two individuals in connection with an incident in Ossian this morning.

Authorities have not yet released the man’s name or where he was located. They do say a shot was fired outside in Ossian this morning which caused the South Winneshiek School District to lock down their buildings in Ossian and Calmar.

As the search for the men began, it also led to the North Fayette and Postville School districts locking down their buildings.
