The Drake Bulldogs are in Anaheim, California for Thursday’s start of the Directv Classic. The Bulldogs will take on California in tomorrow night’s opening round.
Drake coach Mark Phelps says it’s a chance to measure the team on a neutral court and see how they do. He likes the progress of his team. The Bulldogs are 1-1 after a loss at Detroit and Phelps says he felt they would be better on offense early and that is what he is seeing thus far.
Drake will play either Rice or Georgia Tech on Friday.
