The Drake Bulldogs are focused on rebounding as they prepare for Saturday’s matchup against Iowa State as part of the Big Four Classic in Des Moines. The Bulldogs have been outrebounded by five per game in their 4-4 start and take on a Cyclones team that is outrebounding its opponents by 11 per game.

Drake senior forward Jordan Clarke says they are athletic at every position and do a great job on the offensive glass. Clarke leads the Bulldogs with just under ten rebounds per game.

Clarke says they need to find a way to contend on the boards as they have two guys averaging around 9 reounds a game and defensive rebounding is an emphasis. Clarke says everyone needs to be involved because Iowa State shoots a lot of three pointers and there will be a number of long rebounds.

Drake coach Mark Phelps says Clarke will need help on the boards. “We need other guys to kick in there and really do a good job helping him,” Phelps says.
