A brother and sister have been reunited in Davenport after a 65-year separation. Sixty-six-year-old Clifford Boyson of Davenport met his 70-year-old sister, Betty Billadeau, of St. Louis, on Saturday.

It was the first time they’d seen each other since they’d been separated in foster care as children. The Quad City Times reports that Boyson and Billadeau both had tried unsuccessfully to find each other for years. Then seven-year-old Eddie Hanzelin, son of Boyson’s landlord, stepped in.

The youngster found Billadeau by searching Facebook, using her maiden name. Eddie’s now a little wealthier for his efforts. Near the end of their reunion, Boyson and Billadeau rewarded him with a $125 check.
