The driver of a van that was involved in a fatal accident in north-central Iowa’s Worth County last summer is being cited. Twenty-three-year-old Nicole Streets was driving a van near Hanlontown on July 10th that was involved in a collision with a semi, resulting in two girls being killed.

The Iowa State patrol says the van didn’t stop at the intersection of a county road and State Highway 9. Nine-year-old Cassidy Stehn of Northwood and 12-year-old Hana Riedinger of Kensett were killed in the accident.

The girls were in the van as they were heading to a canoe outing at Clear Lake. Streets has been cited for not having a valid driver’s license and for failure to obey a stop sign and yield right of way.
