With six games remaining in the regular season the Iowa State Cyclones are one of six teams within two games of the conference lead and I.S.U. will take its 7-5 league mark on the road to Baylor on Wednesday night.

“There’s a lot of opportunities ahead for all of us,” Iowa State coach Fred Hoiberg says. He says they have to keep going a game at a time and can’t think ahead to what might be. Hoiberg says they are still looking for a great road win.

Offense has carried the Cyclones so far and that will be the case during the stretch run. I.S.U. leads the Big 12 in scoring at 79 points per game and is the top three point shooting team in the conference. “I don’t think there’s a lot of teams in college basketball that have five guys on the floor that can knock ’em down,” Hoiberg says.

He says they had one game were six guys hit threes in the first 12 minutes of the game and that makes it tough on the defense to guard.

Iowa State is 17-8 overall.
