A Davenport man will serve 15 years in federal prison after making threats to shoot people at a local mall. T. Wayne Allen Senior was given the mandatory sentence after he was determined to be an “Armed Career Criminal” by the court.

Allen was arrested on August 27th of 2011 after getting into an argument at the Northpark Mall in Davenport and allegedly threatening to shoot people. Police found a loaded semi-automatic pistol in Allen’s pocket. Their investigation found Allen had at least four convictions for armed robbery in Nevada.

Allend denied the convictions, but officials say a combination of court records, photographs, and fingerprints proved he was involved, and therefore eligible for the mandatory sentence.
