The murder trial of a Mason City man is underway. A panel of 32 potential jurors has been trimmed down to 12 jurors and one alternate who will hear the first-degree murder trial of Aaron Harris.

The 36-year-old Mason City man is accused of killing 40-year-old Sarah Winters in the early morning hours of last July 10th in an apartment at 410 North Washington in Mason City. The state medical examiner’s office ruled that Winters’ death was homicide caused by strangulation.

The case is being heard at the Cerro Gordo County Courthouse in Mason City.
