Buena Vista County authorities have released information on a fatal traffic accident Thursday evening. The accident involved a semi truck and trailer and a pickup truck and it happened on Highway seven, south of Newell.
Eighty-two-year-old Robert Schraeder of Woodbine was the driver of the pickup. The investigation shows that Schraeder pulled out onto Highway seven in front of the semi driven by 25-year-old David Iehl of Lakeside.
Schraeder was pronounced dead at the scene and his passenger, 78-year-old Lois Schraeder reported suffering minor injuries. Iehl also had minor injuries.
