A Davenport man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison on child pornography charges. Thirty-six-year-old Anthony Boyd Conklin pled guilty to possession of child pornography after state and federal officials searched his Davenport home in April of 2011 as the result of an undercover operation.

Officers seized several computers along with numerous articles of children’s clothing. Forensic examiners determined that Conklin used his computer between July of 2002 and April of 2011 to search for child porn on the internet.

He then downloaded around 8,000 images and 688 videos of minors engage in explicit sexual activity.Conklin also admitted he had sent images of himself engaged in sexually explicit conduct on a web camera to minors who sent him images of themselves.

Conklin will have to serve 10 years of supervised release after his 20-year prison term.
