Two people from northwest Iowa will serve time in prison after admitting to making and selling methamphetamine. Court records show 50-year-old Vicki Shannon of Spencer and 52-year-old David Robley of Early pled guilty in May to conspiracy to manufacture and distribute meth.

The investigation found store purchase logs where Shannon and Robley had bought products containing 500 grams of pseudoephedrine, one of the key ingredients in making meth. Officers later stopped their vehicle as they were leaving a building in Clay County.

They obtained a search warrant for the building and found numerous items inside that are used in making meth, including lithium batteries and empty pseudoephedrine boxes. Shannon was sentenced to 14 months in prison and Robley eight months.
