A violent video posted online has led to the discovery of dozens of sick cats at a single eastern Iowa home. The video on YouTube shows several children abusing the animals and shooting them with a BB gun.
An investigation led police and officials with the Clinton Humane Society to a home in Clinton. Police say the owner of the house was not involved in the video and is cooperating. Animal shelter workers have removed 73 cats from the house this week, most of them suffering from health issues.
Clinton police charged the homeowner with failure to license an animal and for violating the animal control ordinance governing having more animals than you can control. As yet, no charges are filed against the children seen in the video.
