The rain may be mixed with snow late tonight across portions of northern Iowa. Wilkens says severe weather could strike on Wednesday, when many communities have scheduled “beggar’s night.” The main threat on Wednesday will involve hail, according to Wilkens. A chance of rain remains in the forecast for Thursday, which is Halloween.

High temperatures this week are expected mainly in the 50s, with overnight lows in the upper 30s or 40s.
