Sioux City Police are hoping the family of a murder suspect will help bring him into custody. Twenty-year-old Martin Castellanos is accused in the shooting death 20-year-old Adrian Rojas Fernandez. Sioux City Police Chief Doug Young says Fernandez was shot in the head at a residence in Sioux City early Sunday.

His body was then taken to a rural area near Canton, South Dakota and left in a ditch. The body was partially burned. “The suspect, Castellanos, does have relatives here in town. We’re asking for their assistance, so we can get him turned in safely without any incidents,” Young says.

Castellanos may be driving his mother’s car, a silver 2003 Audi A4, with Iowa license plates 892 YSD. Police have charged 22-year-old Ricardo Jaime Vital of Sioux City with being an accessory after the fact. Police believe the shooting took place at Vital’s residence.
