Two people have been sentenced to prison for their roles in distributing methamphetamine in Washington County. Forty-six-year-old Kurt Brookhart was sentenced to just over nine years in prison and 30-year-old Nahida Bucheit was sentenced to nearly six years in prison for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.

Court records show they conspired with two other people to have methamphetamine shipped from Arizona to their residence in Wellman. They would then split the drug up between them and sell it. Police intercepted one package that had 200 grams of ice methamphetamine in it. One of the other people involved was sentenced to over 10 years in prison and the other is awaiting sentencing.
