The Iowa Hawkeyes will have a distinct home court advantage for the remainder of the season. U-I officials announced this week that the final seven home games are sold out. Iowa plays host to Minnesota on Sunday. “I think the crowds have been great all year long, the fact that the last 7 are all sold out I think is a testament to our guys and how hard they have played,” Iowa coach Fran McCaffery says.

The Hawkeyes are 3-1 in the Big Ten after posting a victory at third ranked Ohio State. McCaffery says there’s no question you can play better in the atmosphere of a sold out arena. McCaffery who says even with a full house there will be several tough home games ahead. “In this league you are going to play really good teams with really good players and really good coaches and we just did it,” McCaffery says. He says when you have an experienced team that is used to such games, it means you won’t get as rattled.

Iowa has won 19 straight home games and hosts Minnesota Sunday at noon.
