Iowa State continues a tough stretch in the schedule by hosting Oklahoma today. The Cyclones will be looking to bounce back from a 92-81 loss at sixth ranked Kansas and stand 3-4 in the Big 12. “They play the 4 guards, they really really rely on their outside shooting,” Cyclone coach Fred Hoiberg says. He says once they stop the shooters then they have to be sure they secure the ball.

The Sooners handed the Cyclones their initial loss in the first meeting in Norman. ISU senior guard DeAndre Kane says Oklahoma is playing as well as anyone right now and they have to come out and protect their home court.

He says the Cyclones will have no trouble bouncing back from the loss at Kansas. “We lost the game, but everybody’s head was up, that was a good sign,” Kane says. He says they know they fought hard against Kansas and that is all you can ask for.

It will be a three o’clock tip off in Hilton Coliseum.
