The Iowa State Cyclones will try to earn their first victory in Stillwater, Oklahoma, since 1988 this evening when they visit Oklahoma State. The Cyclones are 4-4 in the Big 12 and this game will complete the opening round of the league race. “After tonight, the 9 games we will have played, eight of those teams either when we played them or will be ranked teams,” Iowa State coach Fred Hoiberg. He says the 4-4 league record is due in part to that tough stretch of the schedule.

“There’s no need to panic, our conference is unbelievable. Every night you play and you’ve got to be your best. In a couple of those games I thought we played well — we just didn’t get the win,” Hoiberg says.

Oklahoma State also sits at 4-4 in the league race after a home loss to Baylor on Saturday.

Iowa State is 16-4 overall. It is an eight o’ clock tip off in Gallager-Iba Arena.
