University of Iowa police are investigating another alleged sexual assault on campus. U-I police say a studen reported this week a sexual assault that occurred on the night of January 27.

Campus police issued a “timely warning” in response to the report. The incident marks the eighth time police have issued a campus-wide “timely warning” for reports of students being sexually assaulted on or near campus since August.

The victim in the January 27 incident was sexually assaulted by three unknown males at about 9:30 p.m. near a railroad tunnel by the U-I Fine Arts Building, according to the police report.
