A man who shot someone in an eastern Iowa bar fight has admitted in federal court to unlawful possession of a firearm. Twenty-seven-year-old Tyrone Clifton of Dubuque  pled guilty to one count of possession of a firearm by a felon.

Clifton admitted in a plea agreement that on the morning of November 22, 2013, he was involved in a fight in a Dubuque bar and shot someone with a pistol. Clifton had previously been convicted in Cook County, Illinois on three felony drug and weapons charges. He now awaits sentencing and faces a maximum of 10 years in prison and a fine of $250,000.
