A motorcyclist from Pennsylvania was killed in a crash in southwest Iowa’s Cass County Thursday afternoon in a construction zone crash on Interstate 80. The Iowa State Patrol says 39-year-old Andrew Joseph Engle, of Pittsburgh, died at the hospital in Atlantic, after the left rear tire of a westbound trailer being pulled by a Ford F-350 pickup driven by 40-year old Scott Edward Farmer, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, flew off the trailer and bounced into the eastbound lane of I-80, striking Engle in the upper body and head area.

Engle was driving a 2001 Harley Davidson when the accident happened as traffic was in a head-to-head pattern on a bridge over small creek, about a half-mile west of the Marne exit.
