A young man was found suffering from a gunshot wound near a Des Moines middle school Sunday. Des Moines Police were called to an area near Callanan Middle School early Sunday and found 18-year-old Ariante Williams had been shot once in his side.
Williams told officers he didn’t know who shot him. A police spokesperson said Williams’ injury didn’t appear to be life-threatening and it remains unclear if Williams was on school property when he was shot. No one has been arrested in the case.
