An Cedar Rapids man has admitted to selling counterfeit DVDs of movies and music CDs. Forty-five-year-old Steven Brown pled guilty to one count of copyright infringement. Brown admitted to offering over 1,500 counterfeit movies on DVDs for sale along with around 500 counterfeit music CDs between December of 2012 and February of 2013.

The counterfeits had an estimated value of more than $25,000. Brown is awaiting a sentencing date and faces a maximum of five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
