Marshalltown Police have made an arrest stemming from a child abuse investigation.
Police Captain Mike Hanken identifies the suspect as 28-year-old Brandon M. Collins of Marshalltown. He’s charged with child endangerment, possession of schedule one substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The incident was reported on Wednesday. The child was unresponsive and was taken to a hospital in Marshalltown before being airlifted to Blank Children’s Hospital in Des Moines. The child’s name and condition have not been released.
Collins is being held in the Marshall County Jail on a bond of $50,000.
