Authorities are releasing the name of the 52-year-old Boone man who was killed in a motorcycle accident Thursday night in Story County. The victim is identified as Benjamin Parsons.
The Story County Sheriff’s Department reported the westbound Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by Parsons left the travelled portion of Highway 30 entering the north ditch approaching State Street when he left the roadway and was thrown from the motorcycle.
First responders on the scene performed CPR on Parsons. He was then flown to Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The accident remains under investigation.
