The UNI Panthers had a late rally come up short at Hawaii as the Panthers lost 27-24. Hawaii opened the scoring with a defensive touchdown and UNI was climbing up hill the entire game. UNI coach Mark Farley says they made too many errors, including two that led to 10 points. The Panthers are 0-2 with both losses coming to FBS foes.

Farley says it is irrelevant what division the teams are, they had a chance to win both games. “We should be able to win these games, it doesn’t matter who they are FBS, FCS and we didn’t so, we’ve got a lot of room to get some work done and play better and get ready to play in the FCS, because there’s just as difficult teams there as what we faced the last two weeks,” Farley says.

Quarterback Sawyer Kollmorgen was 19 of 40 through the air with a couple of touchdowns but the Panthers only managed 55 yards of rushing.
