A central Iowa man will spend time in federal prison for lying in court during his bankruptcy. Jay Freese of Montour admitted filing for bankruptcy in 2009 and then not disclosing that he owned a skid loader and a tractor when questioned by the bankruptcy judge. He claimed he had sold the skid loader and tractor to another person.

Freese pled guilty in February to one count of concealing assets in a bankruptcy. He was sentenced to 18 months in prison and given a $5,000 fine.
