Two attempted child abductions are under investigation in the Fort Dodge area. Webster County authorities say both incidents happened within hours of one another on Sunday. Would-be abductors reportedly targeted a girl around five or six years old, and another girl between 12 and 13. Both girls are physically okay.
Investigators say it’s not clear if the incidents in Gowrie and Dayton are connected, but witnesses in both cases described a white-colored vehicle being used. No suspect description was released.
