A 37-year-old Webster City man was killed Monday morning in an accident in Boone County. The Iowa State Patrol identified the victim as Matthew A. Graham.
Reportedly, a 1999 Ford Taurus driven by Graham and a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by Katrena Gillis of Stratford, were both traveling southbound on Highway 17. The Graham car was slowing down or stopped to make a left turn onto 190th Street. The Gillis vehicle struck the rear end of the Graham car, pushing it into the northbound lane of 17 when it was struck by a northbound 2013 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Martin Frederickson of West Des Moines.
Graham was pronounced dead at the accident scene. Both Gillis and Frederickson were taken to the Boone County Hospital for treatment of their injuries. The accident remains under investigation.
