The Iowa Department of Natural Resources has released information on another hunting accident. The DNR says 20-year-old Kyle Fry of Edgewood was hunting raccoons near Littleport in Clayton County when he shot himself in the leg.
Fry was apparently trying to get his tracking dogs away from the raccoons when the 22 rifle fired and hit him in the thigh Friday evening. Fry was taken to the Elkader hospital and then transferred to Dubuque with what is believed to be a non-life threatening injury.
