Iowa State broke open a close game early in the second half enroute to an 81-58 victory over Georgia State in Hilton Coliseum.

Cyclone coach Fred Hoiberg says he was bothered that they didn’t play with much pace in the first half, but did a better job in the second half after making some adjustments. Monte’ Morris led five Cyclones in double figures with 19 points and ISU had 23 assists in the game.

Hoiberg says they should be able to take advantage of some things against a team playing a zone, and Morris took advantage of that.

Iowa State is 2-0.
