Eight students were injured when a school bus rolled off a road in southeast Iowa this morning. The bus for the Louisa-Muscatine School District was carrying 10 elementary and high school students when the bus left a county road near Wapello shortly before 8 a.m.

The bus rolled and eight of the students were taken by ambulance to a hospital in Muscatine for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, according to the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office. The crash remains under investigation and for now, no charges have been filed against the driver of the bus, identified as 58-year-old Ricky Hines of rural Columbus Junction.
