Two people died in two separate weekend crashes in eastern Iowa’s Scott County. Both accidents took place on Saturday. A little after 1:30 in the afternoon Scott County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a wreck involving a semi and a passenger car in rural McCausland.

Deputies say the car, driven by 84-year-old William Flenker of rural Long Grove, pulled out of a private driveway and was struck by the truck on the driver’s side. Flenker later died at a Davenport hospital. The driver of the semi wasn’t hurt. The second crash occurred about 6:15 at night on Interstate 280 in Davenport.

A northbound SUV went into the median, hit a crossover and rolled. The driver, 59-year-old Keith Hentges of Davenport, died at the scene.
