The UNI Panthers will visit Illinois State on Saturday in the second round of the FCS playoffs. The Panthers opened with a 44-10 win over Stephen F. Austin. “That will be very difficult, it’s a huge challenge going on the road,” UNI coach Mark Farley says. He says having already played them once makes it difficult.

The Panthers handed the Redbirds their only regular season loss 42-28 back on November first in Cedar Falls. “I’m sure there will be words said about that, I don’t know, I’m going to take care of our football team to get our team ready to play,” Farley says.

All three Missouri Valley teams that played last week won and all five are still in the bracket. Farley says that verifies the strength of the league, especially with two teams going on the road and winning their playoff games. He says it justifies the amount of bids the league got.
