A Marshalltown teenager has been charged in the murder of a man from Tama who was found dead last weekend in a Marshalltown home.
Marshalltown Police released a statement saying 18-year-old James Head has now been charged with first-degree murder. Head had been arrested Sunday and charged with conspiracy to commit a felony. Another man was arrested Sunday as well and charged with being a felon in possession of a fire arm.
The body of 32-year-old Adam Garrett of Tama was found inside a Marshalltown home Saturday night. An autopsy has been conducted, but authorities haven’t released the details about how Garrett was killed. Marshalltown’s police chief has said Garrett knew who killed him.
