Two eastern Iowa man will serve prison time on separate drug charges. Court records show 26-year-old Morgan Hermiston of LeClaire had an agreement to receive marijuana from another man via the mail from Colorado so he could sell the pot in Iowa.

As part of his agreement the supplier, Jared Fromknecht, would mail the marijuana to others who would then give it to Hermiston. Hermiston pled guilty in October of last year to conspiracy to deliver marijuana. He admitted to being responsible for bringing  more than 220 pounds of marijuana into Iowa.

Hermiston was sentenced to 46 months in federal prison. In the other case, 26-year-old Tyler Scheer of Cedar Rapids admitted to selling more than 24 pounds of marijuana worth more than $85,000. Scheer was sentenced to nine months in federal prison and fined $3,000.
