A northwest Iowa man faces a life prison term in Nebraska after being convicted of murder. Twenty-three-year-old Raymond Gonzalez of Sioux City was sentenced Thursday in Dakota County, Nebraska. In December of last year, he was convicted in the December 2013 shooting death of 28-year-old Bonnie Baker at her home in South Sioux City, Nebraska.

During trial, it was revealed Baker was shot 16 times. Reports say she has hosted a party that Gonzalez attended and some guests made fun of his alleged sexual relationship with Baker’s brother. Witnesses said Gonzalez made threats, left the party, returned with a gun and opened fire.
