Police CarThere are developments in a one-week old homicide case in southeast Iowa. Police in Burlington say they have located a vehicle they believe was involved in the shooting death of 24-year-old Deonte Carter, who was found lying in a city street on the afternoon of February 16th.

Carter was pronounced dead at a hospital and an autopsy confirmed he’d been shot multiple times. No one has been arrested in the case, but police had asked for the public’s help in locating a black SUV.

On Saturday, police announced several tips helped them locate the SUV, which was taken to the Iowa DCI Crime Lab in Ankeny for analysis.
