A car accident in eastern Iowa’s Scott County has taken the life of a teenager.
Eighteen-year-old Jonathan Russell of Bettendorf died Wednesday at University Hospitals in Iowa City.
The Scott County Sheriff’s Office says Russell was critically injured in a single-car, early morning crash on May 10th. It happened in Pleasant Valley in southeast Scott County.
Deputies say Russell’s car went out of control on a curve and into a ditch, striking a telephone pole and two trees.
Russell, who was not wearing his seatbelt, was extricated and airlifted to Iowa City.
