A Mason City man wanted on numerous charges, including kidnapping, is now behind bars. The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Department says 31-year-old Bryan Servantez was walking in a neighborhood in southeastern Mason City at about 6 o’clock Tuesday evening. After a foot pursuit by a deputy, Servantez was taken into custody a couple of blocks away.

Servantez was wanted on outstanding warrants for third-degree kidnapping, second-degree attempted burglary and assault causing bodily injury. Servantez pleaded guilty last June to the charges stemming from a dispute with an ex-girlfriend in which he was accused of breaking a window at a home and then fleeing the scene.

He was arrested back in January on the same warrants after being wanted for about 7 months. Servantez was taken to the Cerro Gordo County Jail where he was being held on $30,000 cash bond.
